Hello — I’m Clément Durand, the founder and author of Shadowguard Bullmastiffs. I’ve spent my life dedicated to Bullmastiffs as a breeder, trainer, and passionate caretaker, and I created this blog to share everything I’ve learned so fellow owners and enthusiasts can give these magnificent dogs the best possible lives.

I first fell in love with Bullmastiffs as a teenager and have since lived with, bred, and trained multiple generations. Over the years I’ve worked closely with veterinarians, canine behaviorists and rescue teams, which has given me practical, hands-on experience in health care, nutrition, grooming and behavior management specific to the breed.

On this site I write from the perspective of someone who raises Bullmastiffs responsibly — covering preventive health care, breed-specific training techniques, balanced nutrition plans, grooming tips for their short coat and skin, and real-life rescue and rehoming experiences. I aim to provide reliable, actionable advice grounded in experience, research and professional guidance.
